Multiplayer mash-up battle experience
Squad Busters is a free-to-play action game. In this online multiplayer mash-up experience, you get to form teams and fight in a vividly colorful, top-down perspective. You form teams from across the Supercell universe and duke it out in various stages inspired by all these different yet wildly addictive worlds.
As a crossover game, Squad Busters lets you collect and play as characters from other Supercell properties, such as Hay Day, Clash of Clans, Brawl Stars, and more. It sports the cartoonish graphics these games are known for but mixed together in a new premise and gameplay idea.
Build your own Supercell group
Supercell brings all their gaming titles for Squad Busters for a fun, hero-collecting experience. Imagine having the Barbarian from the Clash games working with a Rifleman from Boom Beach. However, you maneuver your party as you explore maps, search for treasures, and fight monsters. In its beta phase, only a limited selection of characters and levels are available, starting with its most recognizable heroes.
Visually speaking, it is instantly recognizable whether you’ve followed the Finland-based mobile game developer or have tried any of their popular titles. Most of their games are built on fun-looking and cartoonish characters set against very colorful set designs. Of course, the level of textures available is still worth noting. Similarly, its soundtrack works to evoke excitement and casual fun, making players feel right at home.
Since it can be considered a next-gen game compared to all the other titles featured in it, this game can be a bit demanding in terms of resources. Smooth animation, high-fidelity soundtracks, and high-resolution graphics all come at a price in this game. For older systems and devices, expect it to lag, especially when many characters are moving on the screen.
Global launch update
Squad Busters gets supercharged just in time for its global launch, bringing a whole new layer of strategy, customization options, and rewards to the table. Headlining the massive update is Ultra Evolutions. These potent upgrades unlock devastating abilities and sleek new designs for your favorite characters, transforming them into their ultimate versions. With these transformations, you can craft even more dynamic team compositions and dominate the battlefield.
Plus, you can now collect Hammers scattered throughout battles. Use these hard-earned loots to purchase top-shelf Plaza decorations from the newly opened Plaza Shop and give your home base a much-deserved makeover. The popular Gem Pass system gets a refresh, too, with a new season overflowing with exciting rewards and fresh challenges. This time around, the focus is on acquiring two game-changing MEGA Units: Magical Shelly and Kitsune Witch.
Aside from the slew of new content, the update tackles dozens of issues plaguing the core gameplay, as reported by early-access players. A suite of balancing adjustments promises a fairer, more enjoyable, and less toxic battle environment for every player. Lastly, you can expect a variety of improvements, bug fixes, and other unannounced tweaks aimed at enhancing the overall experience in this current version and succeeding ones.
Milestone update
The game has received plenty of player feedback, the majority of whom were asking for more control over characters and additional ways to employ deeper strategy into the gameplay. The recent update to Squad Buster is what Supercell is describing as the most ambitious update yet in the developer's history of making games. This new direction is highlighted by heroes, squaddies, and the introduction of special moves.
In this major overhaul to the gameplay, you will now choose a Hero, souped-up versions of previous characters equipped with Power Moves, to lead your Squad. This gives you more control in battle, wherein your decisions and actions will have more impact on the outcome. In addition, you will need to create a team known as Squaddies, with their own set of abilities, to provide tactical support.
To add to the tension and high stakes, if your Hero dies, it's game over for the whole Squad, which further emphasizes the need to create a balanced and effective team that suits your own strengths and play style. Whether you're new to the game or a returning player, you can expect an almost new and different experience compared to what the game was before this milestone update.
Fun, exciting, and easily addictive
Whether you’re after the signature graphics from the Clash games and Brawl Stars, or you’re looking to maneuver your own ragtag team of heroes, Squad Busters is definitely the flagship title every Supercell fan is waiting for. It brings every aspect players loved from each of these games and takes it for a spin in an all-new premise and gameplay. It is highly recommended.
